Instructional Classroom Field Trips

The instructional classrooms at Middlefork and Sunset Ridge are looking to provide students with experienctial learning through community outings once a month. The goal is to generalize the skills taught at school to real-world scenarios, like a grocery shopping trip at Mariano's to practice multi-step directions and application of measuring concepts. All trips are also front loaded and reflected upon with students beforehand and afterwards, which is a great opportunity for the students to practice functional reading, writing, and speech activities relating to all outings.
