Climate Club

A third grade student wrote a letter to Mrs. Kiedaisch asking to start a Climate Club at Middlefork after she read a book called The First Rule of Climate Club, by Carrie Firestone. Ms. Thompson, one of Middlefork's teaching assistants, expressed interest in serving as the club sponsor. To get started, they need funds to pay for the staff stipend as she facilitates weekly meetings of this nascent Climate Club. 2nd and 3rd graders interested in joining Climate Club will complete a variety of hands-on activities to build environmental stewardship skills and knowledge on environmental concepts, such as carbon footprints, water conservation, and biodiversity.
