Middlefork & Sunset Ridge PTO Fundraising
Each year, your generous donations directly support the 20+ programs run by the PTO — from academic enrichment and community engagement to teacher and staff appreciation. These initiatives are made possible entirely through contributions from District 29 parents and community members.
Our primary sources of revenue are the annual Book Fair at each school, the biennial Winter Benefit, and PTO Dues. New for the 2025-26 school year: We are experimenting with offering more frequent, smaller-scale events that allow us to raise funds while also bringing families together outside of school. Highlights include our new Shop & Dine initiative and the District-wide BINGO Night (coming Jan 30!).

Winter Benefit
Every other year, the PTO holds a fundraiser to bring parents, teachers, and administrators together for a night of fun! This evening is the cornerstone of our fundraising effort, and provides funding for 2 years of the PTO operational budget.
Book Fair
It has became a tradition for the PTO to sponsor a book fair, an event anticipated by students and parents alike that celebrates literacy and the love of learning. While partnering with a book vendor, not only do we receive 25% of all book sales to be put towards efforts of the PTO, we can connect children with literature and opportunities to grow and flourish.
