Room Parents
Thank you for your interest in being a Room Parent!
It's a great way to get to know your child's classmates and stay connected to what's happening at school. (They love seeing you show up, too!)
Basic info
Kindergarten – Grade 5: Each classroom will have 2-3 room parents. Room Parents across the grade work together to plan the year.
Grades 6–8: Each grade has a team of room parents and will partner with the teachers to help out for the whole grade.
Getting started: The PTO Vice President will reach out to all room parents at the start of the year to go over classroom needs, party plans and more!
Specific responsibilities may change year to year but most years will include planning parties for Halloween, winter and a spring or valentine's event. also, room parents may help collect holiday gifts for teachers and staff.
Food Guidelines
Middlefork: No food at classroom parties. Talk to your teacher, admin, or the VP if you need an exception.
Sunset Ridge: Daily snacks are fruits/veggies only, but there's flexibility for parties and treats — coordinate with your grade-level teacher.

Middlefork
No food for classroom parties. Please work with the classroom teacher, administration and VP for any specific exceptions.
Sunset Ridge
Although Fruits and Vegetables are the daily snack options at SRS, there is flexibility for classroom parties and treats. Work with your grade level teacher to determine food options.
