Gala proceeds directly support teacher appreciation events and the enrichment programming that makes the D29 experience special — including Chess Club, Kick It Wednesdays, the AM Recreation Program, and so much more. At the last gala, "Miami Nights" in March 2025, 360 guests helped raise $92,080 for District 29 students.
The Winter Gala is District 29 PTO's signature fundraising event, held every other year for the families, students, and staff of Sunset Ridge and Middlefork Schools in Northfield. Hosted by the Sunset Ridge–Middlefork Parent Teacher Organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by parents, teachers, and community members, the gala brings the community together for an evening of dinner, dancing, and a live and silent auction — all to benefit our schools.
