Movie in the Park
Please join us for the Movie in the Park event at Clarkson Park on Friday, October 18th at 6:00PM where we will be showing Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! Popcorn and candy will be served so mark your calendars, bring the whole family (and some comfy blankets) and get ready for a fun evening.
PTO Dues & Classroom Party Fees
The PTO is currently collecting the following which can be paid through MySchoolBucks online or through the app.
1. PTO Dues, $25 per family – Dues help to fund the many PTO programs such as the upcoming Movie in the Park, Middlefork Coding Club, SRS AM Rec and more. Visit the PTO website to see the complete list of everything we fund.
2. PTO Classroom Fees, $25 per student – Room parents use these to fund classroom celebrations. Please pay these by October 11th.
PTO Gifts
The 2024-2025 PTO Gifts program application is live! The program is open to staff, students and parents to fund new initiatives in District 29. This year there are three funding priorities – 1. Experiential opportunities; 2. Enrichment activities or events; 3. Start-up “seed” money to pilot a new student club. More information on the PTO Gifts guidelines or to access the application, click here. The first deadline to submit an application is Friday, November 1st.
PTO Innovations Committee
The PTO has formed a new committee that will be focused on assessing current PTO programs and develop new initiatives that will further enrich and support the D29 community. If you’re interested in volunteering to be a part of this committee or would like to learn more, please reach out to Sarah Cohn (president_elect@district29pto.org) by Friday, October 11th.
Winter Benefit 2025
Are you ready to party? Get ready for the hottest night D29 has ever seen with the Miami Nights Winter Benefit on Saturday, March 8th at Sunset Ridge Country Club. Block your calendars, start working on your outfits, and even more importantly, click here to volunteer! We can use any and all skills to make this epic event a night to remember.
School Supply Drive
The School Supply Drive at Sunset Ridge, organized by the Student Ambassadors, begins October 7th and runs through October 18th. All school supplies will be donated to the Cradles to Crayons organization.
